UPS will cut more jobs in 2007. UPS says it will cut an undetermined number of jobs next year. The cuts are part of the company's effort to become seamless after years of growth and acquisitions. The company says it will consolidate support functions that exist at each of its major units. Nov 9, 2006

UPS plans to deliver 21 million packages on busiest day. UPS says it will deliver 21 million packages on Dec. 20, its busiest day of the year. UPS, which currently delivers 15 million packages a day, will hire seasonal workers to accommodate the high volume. Nov 7, 2006

UPS jetliners feature advanced avionics avionics (ā'vēŏn`ĭks), electronic instruments used in air or space flight; also the design and production of such instruments. Early planes had few instruments, but as aviation and aircraft became more complex, so did instrumentation. . The FAA is strongly encouraging airlines to equip e·quip
