 flew 5.7 billion RPMs in October, up 10.7% from the year-ago month. Capacity rose 11.2% to 8.13 billion ASMs and load factor dipped 0.3 point to 70.1%. Nov 10, 2006

Southwest Airlines will establish both pilot and flight attendant bases in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  by October 2007. The 17,000-sq.-ft. facilities will be located near McCarran Airport's C Concourse and initially will accommodate 350 pilots and 600 cabin staff. When fully staffed, SWA adv. 1.
