Lufthansa selected the Rolls-Royce Trent Rolls Royce Trent is a family of high bypass turbofan engines manufactured by Rolls-Royce. All are developments of the RB211 with thrust ratings of between 53,000 and 95,000 lbf (236 to 423 kN).  700 to power the five Airbus A330s The Airbus A330 is a large-capacity, wide-body, medium-to-long-range commercial passenger airliner. It was developed at the same time as the four-engined Airbus A340. It is expected that it will be replaced by the Airbus A350.  it ordered last month. The $300 million deal includes a TotalCare long-term services agreement. Deliveries begin in the first quarter of 2008. Oct 30, 2006

Rolls-Royce, Airbus

Rolls-Royce says deliveries are unaffected by Airbus problems. Rolls-Royce says its suspension of work on engines for the Airbus A380 will not affect the company's turnover. "Our deliveries for the next two years are completely unaffected by the orders in the short term," Rolls-Royce CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
