Northwest recalling all furloughed flight attendants. Northwest Airlines says it will recall to work all 1,131 flight attendants on voluntary and involuntary involuntary adj. or adv. without intent, will, or choice. Participation in a crime is involuntary if forced by immediate threat to life or health of oneself or one's loved ones, and will result in dismissal or acquittal.

Northwest sees high level of sick leave among attendants: Northwest Airlines says an unusually high number of flight attendants are taking sick leave. Flight attendants, represented by the Assn. of Flight Attendants-CWA, were awaiting a ruling late Friday from US District Judge Victor Marrero Victor Marrero is a federal judge appointed to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York by President Bill Clinton in 1999. He is well-known for twice striking down elements of the USA PATRIOT Act, most recently in September 2007, stating that the provision in  on whether work actions can go ahead. Marrero granted NWA's request for a temporary injunction temporary injunction n. a court order prohibiting an action by a party to a lawsuit until there has been a trial or other court action. A temporary injunction differs from a "temporary restraining order" which is a short-term, stop-gap injunction issued pending a  on Aug. 25 but did not say when he would issue a final decision.
