Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is an aerospace and defense conglomerate that is the result of the 1994 purchase of Grumman by Northrop. The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  reports slightly higher Q3. Northrop Grumman reports third-quarter profits increased 3% to $302 million and noted that sales rose at most of its defense businesses. The company also says it has proposed a $112.5 million settlement to resolve claims by the Justice Department and a "classified customer." The claims are related to microelectronic parts produced by the Space and Electronics sector of the former TRW TRW The Real World (TV reality show)
