Lufthansa Confirms 35 Plane Airbus Order. Lufthansa has signed a contract for 35 new aircraft from Airbus, confirming a September announcement, the pan-European plane maker said on Friday. Oct 13, 2006

Lufthansa's winter schedule will include a new thrice-weekly Frankfurt-Kolkata service beginning Dec. 1 and a daily FRA-Cape Town flight in addition to the codeshare service operated by South African Airways South African Airways (SAA) is South Africa's largest domestic and international airline company, with hubs in Cape Town and Johannesburg. It is also known in Afrikaans as Suid-Afrikaanse Lugdiens (SAL) . Both routes will be served with an A340-600. Lufthansa Cargo will launch a twice-weekly MD-11F service from Frankfurt to Los Angeles via Chicago O'Hare on Oct 29. It also will increase frequencies to Osaka Kansai from thrice-weekly to four while New York New York, state, United States
