Bmi regional is taking delivery of a further four Embraer E-145s in the coming months, raising its fleet to 20 aircraft. The additional capacity will support three new routes: Edinburgh-Zurich, Aberdeen-Kristiansand and Leeds Bradford-Copenhagen. The bmi subsidiary also will increase frequencies on existing services for the summer schedule, including additional flights from EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) The electronic communication of business transactions, such as orders, confirmations and invoices, between organizations. Embraer said yesterday that it delivered 25 commercial aircraft in the fourth quarter, bringing its total to 98 for full-year 2006 led by 40 E-190s. The Brazilian manufacturer took 67 firm orders for its commercial segment during the quarter, increasing its firm order backlog 11.3% over the previous quarter to $14.8 billion. It also raised its delivery guidance to 165-170 in 2007 including executive and defense/government aircraft. Its total deliveries for 2006 were 130. Saudi Arabian Airlines Saudi Arabian Airlines (Arabic: الخطوط الجوية العربية السعودية) is the national airline of Saudi Arabia, based in  is negotiating with both Boeing and Airbus to buy up to 60 aircraft worth up to $12 billion, London's The Business reported.
