Delta Air Lines has again increased its high-end fares in some markets after withdrawing from a similar move last week, an airline spokeswoman said on Wednesday. The airline increased its first-class and full coach fares by $50 each in some markets on Tuesday, spokeswoman Chris Kelly said. Full coach fares are the maximum coach ticket prices and offer customers benefits such as more schedule flexibility. Apr 6, 2006

Delta Air Lines first class service will be reintroduced on several Song routes, including flights from New York to California and Seattle from May 1. The new long-haul product will feature all-leather seating, on-demand in-flight entertainment and other amenities. It will be available on about 100 aircraft by 2008, including the former Song 757s. "Song's ideas and innovations will continue to play a vital role in the refreshment and reinvigoration of the Delta product and experience," the airline said. Apr 6, 2006

Delta Air Lines is welcoming its fleet of 48 Song Boeing 757s back into the mainline domestic system as it reconfigures the aircraft's interiors and exteriors for this fall's launch of a new two-class, domestic long-haul product. During this transition period, Delta customers will continue to enjoy the convenient flight schedules and nonstop service in all markets previously served by Song with the combined Delta-Song fleet. During the conversion period, which will last through November, Delta and Song-branded aircraft will continue to fly into and out of markets previously served by Song, including New York's LaGuardia and JFK airports, Boston, Hartford, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, San Juan, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Aruba. Delta Air Lines pilots voted in resounding favor yesterday to authorize union leaders to call a strike if an arbitration panel permits the carrier to reject the current pilot contract and impose a new, concessionary agreement. Delta Air Lines launched five-times-daily New York LaGuardia-Chicago O'Hare service yesterday aboard Embraer 170s operated by Shuttle America. Delta also initiated daily service from Atlanta to Dusseldorf yesterday aboard a 767-300ER and to Tel Aviv on March 27 aboard a 777. Delta Connection Atlantic Southeast Airlines will operate twice-daily Atlanta-Wilmington, Del., service from June 29 aboard 40-seat CRJs and Delta said the route will make it the only carrier to operate to all 50 states. Delta Air Lines reported a net loss of $209 million for February that included $71 million in reorganization items reflecting estimated bankruptcy claims on aircraft leases and legal fees.
