Company Profile for Hong Kong Trade Development Council.The Hong Kong Trade Development Council Hong Kong Trade Development Council (Chinese: 香港貿易發展局, TDC) is a global marketing arm and service hub for Hong Kong-based manufacturers, traders and service exporters, est. 1966. (HKTDC HKTDC Hong Kong Trade Development Council ) is the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong's external trade in goods and services In economics, economic output is divided into physical goods and intangible services. Consumption of goods and services is assumed to produce utility (unless the "good" is a "bad"). It is often used when referring to a Goods and Services Tax. . The mission is to grow Hong Kong's business in international trade and increase the critical mass of international firms using Hong Kong's trade platform. HKTDC organises 31 international trade shows annually which attracted over 27,000 exhibitors and 622,000 buyers in 2006/07. It creates opportunities for Hong Kong-based businesses and their international partners, most of which are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It facilitates them through marketing activities, business matching, market intelligence, development programmes and a database of more than 100,000 Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov. manufacturers, suppliers, traders and service providers. It provides information via trade publications and research reports. Many of the services are free.
