The Office of Vocations, Congregation of Holy Cross The Congregation of Holy Cross or Congregatio a Sancta Cruce (C.S.C.) is a Roman Catholic congregation of priests and brothers founded in 1837 by Blessed Father Basil Anthony-Marie Moreau, CSC, in Le Mans, France. , Indiana Province and Eastern Province, encourages young men who are discerning a vocation to learn more about Holy Cross spirituality and ministries throughout the world. The Congregation of Holy Cross Priests and Brothers fulfill the original vision of founder Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C. to make God known, loved and served in education, parish and mission settings. The Congregation serves in parish and social service settings in California, Colorado, Indiana, Oregon, Texas and Arizona, and sponsors six colleges and universities throughout the United States: University of Notre Dame, Indiana Notre Dame, Indiana is an unincorporated community northeast of South Bend in St. Joseph County, Indiana; it includes the campuses of three colleges: the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College. ; Holy Cross College
