Arla Foods UK Arla Foods UK plc (LSE: ARU) is a major British dairy products company. Based in Leeds, it is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.  plc was formed from the merger of Express Dairies Express Dairies is a subidary of Dairy Crest that specialises almost only on home delivery. It was formed in the 1980s. During the late 1990s it was losing money and subsequently sold it's milk and delivery services to Dairy Crest in July 2006.  plc and Arla Foods Arla Foods is a cooperative based in Ã…rhus, Denmark and the largest producer of dairy products in Scandinavia. Arla was formed as the result of a merger between the Swedish dairy cooperative Arla and the Danish dairy company MD Foods on 17 April 2000.  Plc on 22 October 2003.
