, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 1995--3M and Software Architects Inc., Bothell, Wash., have formed an alliance that will enable the two companies to accelerate the development of media and file interchange utility software that enhances the use of rewritable optical technology.

The agreement expands the long-standing relationship between the two companies during which Software Architects has provided Macintosh and DOS formatting for 3M's growing family of value-added rewritable optical disks.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
