Welch Allyn's CompacVideo[TM] Otoscope is small, easy to use, and affordable (under $1,000). The entire video otoscope is no larger than a standard Welch Allyn optical otoscope head and is entirely self-contained. This means no separate light boxes, video processors, fiberoptic cables, and messy connections. As opposed to other systems that occupy precious space and cannot be transported, the CompacVideo Otoscope fits in the palm of the hand.

The CompacVideo Otoscope is as easy to use as any standard optical otoscope. Users simply attach the instrument head to an existing 3.5v Welch Allyn battery handle and connect it to a TV, Monitor or Computer Video Capture card. There is no need to white-balance, no focus required, and there are no other connections to make--only a single cord from the video otoscope head to the TV. And since audiologists and hearing aid dispensers are already familiar with Welch Allyn's standard otoscopes, there is no learning curve required for the product.
