CompUSA INC. NAMES SECURITY ANALYST NOELLE GREENE-HUNT AS SENIOR DIRECTOR-INVESTOR RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

 DALLAS, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- CompUSA Inc. (NYSE: CPU), America's largest Computer Superstore retailer, has named Noelle Greene-Hunt, formerly assistant vice president and security analyst at Equitable Capital Management, to the newly created position of senior director- Investor Relations and Communications.
 Greene-Hunt's nine-year career as an analyst spans industries ranging from retail, textile and apparel to automotive and transportation. At CompUSA, she will be responsible for both investor relations and corporate communications. She will serve as the company's primary contact with its individual and institutional shareholders and with members of the investment community.

 Greene-Hunt began her career as a security analyst in 1983 with Fidelity Bank and subsequently joined Equitable Capital Management in 1987. Her success in predicting company and industry turnarounds has led to her selection as a participant in the Wall Street Transcript's industry roundtables since 1988. She has also been actively involved in a number of New York City analyst splinter groups, including the Merchandising Analyst Group (of which she was president), Retail, Textile & Apparel, Automotive, and Airline. She is a 1981 graduate of Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
 CompUSA Inc. currently operates 53 high-volume Computer Superstores in 31 major metropolitan areas throughout the United States. The Superstores, which are open seven days a week, offer more than 5,000 computer products, including hardware, software, accessories and related products, at deep discount prices to retail, business, governmental and institutional customers. They also offer full-service technical departments and classroom training facilities.
