The awards were presented during the opening general session at Breakaway, the IT industry's premiere partnering event for business leaders, resellers, manufacturers, distributors, and solutions providers. Nearly 1,000 senior executives from the IT industry are attending the conference.

Diskeeper's Derek De Vette was recognized for his level engagement with CompTIA, including sponsoring association conferences; supporting print and electronic newsletters with informative editorial content; and championing the value of CompTIA membership to others in the industry.

Sandra Ashworth of Unisys served as a member of Breakaway Program Advisory Committee, helping to develop the conference's education program. She's also active in the CompTIA Services Section, working in areas such as the electronic warranty claim and "no problem" found initiatives.

Nobuo Seki of Ricoh Techno Systems was honored for his strong support of CompTIA certifications. As part of a comprehensive training program for its domestic maintenance service groups and service locations, Ricoh Techno Systems uses CompTIA certifications to enhance the technical and customer service skills of its professionals who deliver rapid response services to customers across Japan.

Computacenter, one of Europe's leading providers of IT services, received a CompTIA Chairman's Awards for its use of CompTIA certifications to develop a well-trained, skilled and motivated mo·ti·vate
