Comp claims judges seek reappointment.

The Statewide Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims will meet June 29 at 9 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport for the purpose of interviewing the following judges of compensation claims for reappointment: Judge Kathryn S. Pecko of Miami and Judge John J. Lazarra of Tallahassee.

Any questions or comments relating to any of the above judges of compensation claims should be addressed in writing to Victor Marrero, SNCJCC Chair, Director of Risk Management, Broward Sheriff's Office, 2601 West Broward Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale 33312.

If you wish to speak at the commission meeting in opposition to the reappointment of any of the above judges, written notice must be provided to Marrero and each commission member no later than 5 p.m., EST, June 22. Your letter should include your intention to address the commission and a brief explanation regarding your request. If you wish to present any documents in support of your appearance, copies must be provided to the chair and all commission members no later than 5 p.m., EST, June 22. A list of the names and mailing addresses of each SNCJCC members is provided on the Division Of Administrative Hearings's Web site at www.fljcc.org and the Bar's Web site at www.floridabar.org.

The commission will not grant any requests for personal appearances to speak in favor of any of the above sitting judges. However, the commission will accept letters in support of the current judges in lieu of personal appearances.
