Community pride swells in Weyburn thanks to 10 Most Influential Men. (Letters to the Editor).


I enjoyed the article in the December December: see month.  2001/January 2002 issue of SaskBusiness called Saskatchewan's 10 Most Influential Men.

Indeed I did recognize some of the names, and was certainly proud to be a Weyburn Weyburn (wā`bərn), city (1991 pop. 9,673), SE Sask., Canada, SE of Regina. A trade center for a wheat-growing and oil-producing region, it has grain elevators and a feed mill.  resident when I read Paul Martin praise Harold MacKay Harold Hugh MacKay, O.C., Q.C., LL.B. (born 1940) is a Canadian lawyer and corporate director.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1960 from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1963 from Dalhousie University.

I'm sure you can imagine how anxious I am to see your next issue to discover who Saskatchewan's 10 Most Influential Women are.

Kelly Mitchell Mitchell, city (1990 pop. 13,798), seat of Davison co., SE S.Dak.; inc. 1881. Mitchell is a trade, distribution, and shipping center for a dairy and livestock area.  

Weyburn

Judging from the incredible amount of feedback, many of our readers, including these two previous letter writers who were brave enough to put their comments on the record, will no doubt be happy to se the feature on our 10 Most Influential Women in Saskatchewan on page 35. -- Editor
