Thompson-Phelan Group Inc. (d) and the Michigan Association of Community Bankers have established the James W. Phelan Scholarship to provide financial assistance to Michigan residents in their junior or senior year at a Michigan college or university. The scholarship is named after one of the founders of Thompson-Phelan Group, a commercial design and build firm in Anchorville.
