The Sofia Hash House Harriers is an active and very relaxed recreational and social group composed of Bulgarians and expats; visitors and first-time Hashers are always welcome. A "hash" is an organised event that usually includes a run or walk through a park or open space followed by a gathering of the runners and walkers to socialise Verb 1. socialise - take part in social activities; interact with others; "He never socializes with his colleagues"; "The old man hates to socialize" socialize and enjoy a beer or soft drink. Each hash concludes at a restaurant or mehana. In addition to the Sunday hashes, members of the Sofia hash gather socially every Thursday evening at the Irish Harp pub in Sofia, starting at about 8pm.
