US$20 million from the Inter-American Development Bank is for Community Driven Development, to improve the well-being of the poor in selected rural and periurban areas by: (a) providing matching grants for investments for key local infrastructure and services prioritized through a participatory municipal planning process; (b) strengthening local institutions; and (c) also strengthening the ability of local constituents to articulate their demands and exert oversight on municipal management.
