Community aquatic programs. (Pacific).


Community aquatic programs do more than improve health and fitness--two key goals in the government's objectives to improve health (Healthy People 2010). Many aquatic programs are tailored to support specific age-group needs. For example, junior lifeguard safety programs not only empower youths with self esteem, but also provide trained staff for community programs.
