) announced the acquisition and commencement of operations of Red Bud Regional Hospital, a 103-bed acute care facility located in rural, southwestern Illinois, approximately 40 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri. The hospital, the sole provider of acute care hospital services in the Red Bud area, was acquired together with related businesses from the Sisters of Mercy (R. C. Ch.) a religious order founded in Dublin in the year 1827. Communities of the same name have since been established in various American cities. The duties of those belonging to the order are, to attend lying-in hospitals, to superintend the education of girls, and protect , who operated the system under the name St. Clement Health Services health services Managed care The benefits covered under a health contract .
