Brevard Community College (BCC) in Melbourne, Florida has become one of the first institutions of higher learning in the United States to deploy behavior-based intrusion prevention software. This new solution paid immediate dividends by protecting the school's computer lab network when the "Pentagone" virus struck. While other computer networks and many large enterprises nationwide were crippled by the virus, the BCC network continued to function normally.
