Community Catalysts of California Wins Grant from Sundt Foundation.

SAN DIEGO -- Community Catalysts of California, a non-profit agency that serves individuals with developmental and other disabilities, announced today they have received a $1000 grant from Sundt Construction's non-profit arm, Sundt Foundation. The grant is earmarked for their Independent Living Program and will be used to purchase clothing, essential household goods and supplies for the program's clients.

"We appreciate the generous support of the Sundt Foundation for their gift to our Independent Living Program," said Jim Jenkins, CEO of Community Catalysts of California. "This will help encourage our clients, build their self-esteem and give them better tools to live successfully in the community."

Working one-on-one with case managers, 45 San Diegans in the Independent Living Program learn life skills needed to set up their own households and maintain independent lifestyles. The Community Catalysts staff provides participants with personal support, counseling, and individual instruction on safety, budgeting, and other necessary skills.
