National Guard Unit Will Stay Connected to Families after Deployment with Mighty Key USB Security Keys

DETROIT -- The Michigan National Guard 1-182FA (The Deuce), stationed at Ft. Dix, New Jersey will be home for the holidays thanks to the generosity of area businesses, including Mighty Key LLC. The unit of 170 soldiers, which will deploy to Iraq in January, will arrive in Detroit on December 23rd in time to spend the holidays with their families.

Many individuals and businesses have donated money to charter buses as well as purchase food, supplies, and gifts for the soldiers.

Atop the soldiers' wish list was USB drives. When deployed overseas, the soldiers have very limited Internet time. If their letters are written in advance and saved to a memory key, they can reach all family and friends during their designated online time.

Mighty Key, along with its parent company Atomynet, immediately responded to this request by donating USB security keys to each soldier in The Deuce. Mighty Key, which plugs into a PCs USB port, allows soldiers to save their letters to the key's onboard memory, back up their files in online databanks and create secure, encrypted folders on their computers. They simply save their letters to Mighty Key, plug the key into the designated online PC and send.

Even if their Mighty Key or laptop is destroyed, their letters, pictures, and other digital valuables will be safe in Mighty Key's secure databanks.
