) -- Bishop Onell A. Soto, retired bishop of Venezuela, has been appointed acting director of communications Director of Communications is a position in the private and public sectors. Born in Cuba in 1932, Bishop Soto has been active in communications work for many years and was a pioneer with Spanish-speaking publications for the U.S. Episcopal Church. He has founded and edited four mission publications and writes a column in Nuevo Siglo, the international paper of the Latin American Council of Churches.

Bishop Soto has served in Ecuador, El Salvador and Venezuela and for 10 years he was mission information officer at the Episcopal Church Center in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
