Communications Platforms Trade Association Names Enea as Board Member.

Enea to Focus on Middleware Standards and Interoperability

STOCKHOLM, Sweden & SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Enea[R] (Nordic Exchange/Small Cap/ENEA), a world leading provider of network software and services, today announced that it has been named as a board member at the Communications Platforms Trade Association (CP-TA). Enea has been a member of CP-TA since 2006.

CP-TA is an association of communications platform and building block providers dedicated to accelerating the adoption of SIG-governed, open communications platforms through interoperability testing and certification. With industry collaboration, the CP-TA plans to drive a mainstream market for open, standards-based communications platforms by developing a framework for base platform profiles and certifying multi-vendor interoperable products.

CP-TA has released the first draft of its Interoperability Compliance Document (ICD) and Test Procedure Manual (TPM) for AdvancedTCA platforms, which define objective and verifiable interoperability criteria and tests. These documents, which are available for download, focus on hardware and software building blocks based on open industry standards such as PICMG and the SA Forum, and utilize system profiles developed by SCOPE. CP-TA expects to release new versions of the ICD and TPM later this year, and has begun to work on AdvancedMC and MicroTCA.
