Communications Central Inc. announces interim management change.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 1995--Communications Central Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:CCIX CCIX Continuous Countercurrent Ion eXchange

) announced today that Richard W. Oliver, who had served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis since May 24, 1995, would be relinquishing that position effective August 31, 1995 and returning to his regular teaching position at the Owen Graduate School of Business at Vanderbilt University.

Peter A. Schober has agreed to serve as the Company's CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  on an interim basis until a permanent successor is named, which is expected to occur in the near term. Mr. Schober is Chairman of the Board's Executive Committee and has served on the Board since April 1991. He is a founding partner of MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. Officially introduced as the TMS320C80, it combines RISC technology with the functionality of four DSPs on one chip.  Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm with a focus on companies in the information technology field, including the wireless and services sectors.
