Communications Central Inc. announces acquisition.ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1994--Communications Central Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS:CCIX CCIX Continuous Countercurrent Ion eXchange CCIX Climatic Change Information Exchange ) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Telso, Inc. based in Miami, Florida “Miami” redirects here. For the Native American tribe, see Miami tribe. Miami is a major city in southeastern Florida, in the United States. It is the county seat of Miami-Dade County. Miami is a gamma world city with an estimated population of 404,048. , for a purchase price of approximately $12.6 million in cash. In the transaction, CCI CCI Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie (France) CCI CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) Citation Index CCI Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Western Australia) acquired over 2,250 payphones located primarily in southeast Florida. Terry L. Colbert, president and chief executive officer, stated: "All of the Telso phones are located within 100 miles of the greater Miami area. They directly overlay (1) A preprinted, precut form placed over a screen, key or tablet for identification purposes. See keyboard template. (2) A program segment called into memory when required. our existing routes and will further strengthen CCI's market presence in Florida. Sam Herzberg, president of Telso, and Larry Levy, vice president, have agreed to be retained as consultants to CCI to ensure a smooth transition and to assist with the future growth of our Florida operations." Mr. Colbert added: "Telso's management built a well-run company and a highly profitable route, and we consider it one of the better acquisitions we have consummated. In fact, it is the Company's second largest acquisition to date. In the first six months of fiscal 1995, we have acquired over 4,500 payphones and approximately 450 inmate INMATE.
