Spectropolis will explore how the increasing presence of mobile communication technologies is transforming the manner in which people live, construct and move through today's built environment. Volunteers from NYCwireless will be on-hand at Spectropolis events to conduct demonstrations on how to access the free service. Volunteers will also be available every Friday and Saturday after Labor Day Labor Day, holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September to honor the laborer.
