) (Nasdaq:CICI CICI Cochlear Implant Club International ) announced today that it has begun shipping the popular QuickNotes(TM) notetaking application for Windows(R) CE-based Palm-size PCs The Palm-Size PC was Microsoft's first attempt at a computer conforming to an 'in your hand' profile (or, as commonly referred to, a PDA).

QuickNotes allows users to capture notes and drawings as electronic ink on their Palm-size PC. QuickNotes comes with a PC compatible desktop version of the application for Windows '95, '98 and NT. QuickNotes for the Palm-size PC is $39. A special bundle offering of QuickNotes and the Jot(TM) Pro handwriting recognition Handwriting recognition is the ability of a computer to receive intelligible handwritten input. The image of the written text may be sensed "off line" from a piece of paper by optical scanning (optical character recognition).  upgrade is being offered for $58. Users who have installed bSQUARE's bFAX(R) Express can fax QuickNotes pages directly from their P/PC. Quicknotes for the P/PC also supports a voice memo feature for attaching voice-recorded notes to QuickNotes. QuickNotes' intuitive notebook user interface simplifies the organization of notes and ideas, whether written or spoken.

Thanks to CIC's INKshrINK(R) compression technology, most written notes use less than 2k bytes per page. A PC compatible desktop version of QuickNotes is included and enables users to transfer, archive and print notes from a Windows '95, '98 or NT desktop.
