Communication Intelligence Corp. new director appointed.

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1995--Communication Intelligence Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: CICI) (CIC) announced Monday the election of Philip S. Sassower as a member of its board of directors and the chairman of its finance committee.

Sassower is currently the chairman of Newpark Resources Inc., a company which provides integrated environmental services to the oil and natural gas industry in the Gulf coast region and BP Acquisition Corp., which owns the Birraporetti's restaurant chain located in the Southwestern U.S.

Sassower graduated from Queens College of New York and the Harvard Law School. He initially spent eight years on Wall Street as a registered representative of Oppenheimer and Company, and later as founder and principal of Sassower, Jacobs and Schneider, a member of N.Y.S.E. He then spent seven years as president, chief executive officer and a principal shareholder of Bates Manufacturing Company Inc., a N.Y.S.E. company with holdings in textiles and coal. Sassower is the general partner of CIC Standby Ventures L.P., the standby guarantor for the recently successfully completed $5 million rights offering by CIC.
