Communicate's President, David Jeffs, commented, "The primary reason that we spent months rebuilding Perfume.com was to produce a more efficient online store, and it appears that our have efforts paid off. This greatly improved conversion rate should play a major role in significantly increasing Perfume.com's sales and profits this holiday season compared to the 2004 holiday period. Further advantages of a higher conversion rate are that Perfume.com will have a better ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot).  on search engine and email marketing, and its affiliate partners will be more contented sending their traffic to Perfume.com."

Communicate is also pleased to report that during the first half of 2005, Perfume.com had just three fraudulent charge-backs from all processed orders (a rate of 0.02%). Communicate believes that this is among the lowest fraudulent charge-back rates of all major online retailers.

High fraud rates continue to plague many eCommerce websites, with criminals stealing an estimated $2.6 billion from online merchants in 2004, according to a November 2004 study by CyberSource Corp.
