) announced continued growth for the three months ending March 31, 2005, with assets now reaching $212 Million. This is the sixth consecutive quarter of profits for Commonwealth since turning profitable in late 2003. Total deposits have grown 26% in the past year.

For the quarter ending March 31, 2005, the bank recorded net income of $166,000, compared to $129,000 during the fourth quarter of 2004, an increase of $37,000 or 29%. Net income increased by $114,000 or 219%, compared to the net income of $52,000 recorded during the first quarter of 2004. Other highlights include:

--Assets grew to $211.6 million at March 31, 2005, a 29% increase in twelve months and a 6% increase since December 31, 2004.

--Earnings per share increased to $0.08 for the latest quarter compared to $0.02 for the first quarter of 2004.

--Loans grew by 6% during the most recent quarter and equaled $157.9 million on March 31, 2005, up 35% in a twelve month period.

--Total deposits reached $167.4 million at quarter-end, a 26% increase in one year, and a 7% growth since the end of 2004.

These results continue the trend of increasing assets and quarterly profits for Commonwealth, which opened for business in December of 2001.
