Commonwealth Industries To Broadcast Second Quarter Conference Call Live on the Internet.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 2003

Commonwealth Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ/NM: CMIN Cmin Trough serum concentration, see there ) today announced that it will provide an online Web simulcast of its second quarter 2003 earnings release conference call on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. During this call, management will review Commonwealth's financial and operational results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2003, and discuss the Company's outlook for the third quarter of 2003.

The live broadcast of Commonwealth's conference call will begin at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 22, 2003. An online replay will be available approximately two hours following the conclusion of the live broadcast and will continue through August 22, 2003. Links to these events will be posted to the investor section of the company's website, www.ciionline.com or from www.companyboardroom.com.
