; East Windor, NJ) has acquired Compass North America, Inc. (CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification. ; Newark, NJ), a producer of publishing, advertising and information services for the shipping/port sectors. No terms for the deal were given.

CNA produces the "Seaports of the Americas," AAPA's (American Association of Port Authorities) annual directory, "Georgia Ports Authority The Georgia Ports Authority is the administrative agency of the U.S. state of Georgia responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of sea and inland ports in the state.  Guide & Directory," "The Port Everglades Guide & Directory" and the annual AAPA AAPA American Academy of Physician Assistants.  convention guide. CNA also produces the recently-launched, tri-annual AAPA Seaports Magazine, a title that is targeted to professionals in the port industry. Editorial includes coverage of current port industry issues and legislative and agency actions.

CBM produces a variety of related information products, including The Journal of Commerce, Port Import Export Reporting Service (PIERS), Traffic World, Air Cargo World, Pacific Shipper, Shipping Digest and Gulf Shipper, among others. CBM president/ceo Alan Glass said the deal was "extremely symbiotic symbiotic /sym·bi·ot·ic/ (sim?bi-ot´ik) associated in symbiosis; living together.
