Commonhealth's Health Learning Systems Division Adds Scientific and Program-development Staff.

In her new position, Ms. Pawlak will use her extensive background in cardiology, gerontology gerontology: see geriatrics. , asthma management, oncology, gynecology, and dermatology to support her colleagues in all scientific areas related to the development of various medical-education programs.

Ms. Pawlak, who graduated from Georgetown University with a BS in nursing and from New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  with an MS, nurse practitioner (MS NP) degree, most recently was employed as a critical care nurse practitioner in cardiothoracic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital Lenox Hill Hospital, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, is a 652-bed, acute care hospital and a major teaching affiliate of NYU Medical Center. As Director, Program Planning and Development, Amy Weiss will be directing the development, production, and reproduction of medical-education programs in a variety of disciplines and program types.

Ms. Weiss, who previously held positions at Parke-Davis, Eli Lilly, and Geo Med Global Communications, has experience in the areas of women's health, diabetes, gastroenterology, neurology, and infectious diseases. She holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and received her MBA MBA
