Common good!

Historically, associations have come together to advance an identified "common good." In today's world, the significance of those words takes on a new meaning. What can we do to offer a "world of good?" Can we truly "enrich lives" in such a way that we will "change the world?" We must "believe" in those words, because hope is the collateral for tomorrow.

The American Camping Foundation (ACF (Advanced Communications Function) An earlier official product line name for IBM SNA programs, such as VTAM (ACF/VTAM) and NCP (ACF/NCP).

ACF - Advanced Communications Function
) was developed to recognize the fellowship fellowship Graduate education A post-residency training period of 1–2 yrs in a subspecialty–eg, hand surgery, which allows a specialized physician to develop a particular expertise that may have a related subspecialty board; fellowship time is often  of men and women who believe in the purposes of the camp experience and who want to ensure that the camp experience is continued as a growing, educational opportunity for those who follow. ACF is the vehicle that accepts charitable planned gifts and conservatively invests those dollars in a portfolio of balanced programs. ACF is a separately incorporated body from ACA ACA - Application Control Architecture  in order to ensure appropriate fiscal checks and balances. Members of the ACF include external investment experts who are committed to the vision and mission of the camp community. Currently, ACF manages a $1.9 million dollar endowment A transfer, generally as a gift, of money or property to an institution for a particular purpose. The bestowal of money as a permanent fund, the income of which is to be used for the benefit of a charity, college, or other institution. .

As we launch ACA's new initiative, Honor As a verb, to accept a bill of exchange, or to pay a note, check, or accepted bill, at maturity. To pay or to accept and pay, or, where a credit so engages, to purchase or discount a draft complying with the terms of the draft.  Our Past, Assure Our Future, ACA and ACF continue to remain committed to the Kruger Endowment. Of the $5 million fund-raising fund-raising, large-scale soliciting of voluntary contributions, especially in the United States. Fund-raising is widely undertaken by charitable organizations, educational institutions, and political groups to acquire sufficient funds to support their activities.  target for Campaign '07, $1 million will be placed in the endowment. This commitment illustrates our belief in our "common good." It is also our hope that the Acorn Society will continue to grow. By contributing a charitable gift to ACF in your will, trust, or cash gifts of $10,000 payable in five years, you become a member of the Acorn Society.

We are each rather small and feel duly insignificant compared to the challenges that face us any given day. So must the acorn that drops upon the vast forest floor. Yet, with determination, that small acorn grows to become one of the mightiest trees in the forest!
