Uplift Commode commode

Piece of furniture resembling the English chest of drawers, used in France from the late 17th century. Most had marble tops, and some were fitted with pairs of doors.
 Assist from Uplift Technologies, Inc., is a self-powered, lifting commode chair that helps residents gently seat and raise themselves without assistance, providing privacy when it's needed most. It can be used in stand-alone fashion or over a toilet.

Commode Assist provides safe, controlled support and lifts up to 80% of a resident's weight, from 80 to 220 lbs. A hydropneumatic lifting mechanism slowly and automatically activates when a resident releases the safety latch and shifts forward to stand.

In addition to helping those in a general weakened condition, this product is useful for residents with arthritis, Parkinson's disease Parkinson's disease or Parkinsonism, degenerative brain disorder first described by the English surgeon James Parkinson in 1817.
