At its meeting in Washington, D.C., on Feb. 27, CFB CFB Canadian Forces Base  members discussed hot issues on Capitol Hill. These include: options backdating Options backdating is the practice of granting an employee stock option that is dated prior to the date that the company actually granted the option. This practice raises a number of legal and accounting issues. , trust-owned health insurance, executive compensation and issues related to stock options. With regard to executive compensation, there is a good chance that this issue will be dropped from the minimum wage legislation that Congress is considering.

Non-qualified deferred compensation provisions are in the small business tax bill in the Senate. Presently, the Senate's work is concentrated on what kinds of tax benefits there should be for small businesses. The committee is monitoring health issues on Capitol Hill as well, and will likely be working with the Business Roundtable Business Roundtable (BRT), an association consisting of the chief executive officers of major U.S. corporations that was founded in 1972 through the merger of the three preexisting business organizations.  (BRT BRT Bus Rapid Transit
