Committee formed to review IHC Rules.

ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2009 (Balochistan Times) --A high level Committee has been formed to review Islamabad High Court Rules, court officials said Friday. The committee comprises Justice Mohammad Munir Paracha, Justice Syed Qalb e Hassan, Justice Mohammad Ramzan Chaudhry and Additional Registrar (Establishment) Ejaz Ahmed. The decision to form the committee was taken recently at a meeting held under the chairmanship of IHC Chief Justice Mohammad Bilal Khan. The Committee has been tasked to review the existing rules for the High Court and put forward suggestions and amendments, Additional Registrar Ejaz Ahmed told reporter He said important steps were in the offing to ensure easy and speedy dispensation of justice as envisaged in the National Judicial Policy. The decision to abolish Evidence Recording Fee was a step in that direction. The fee was considered by the judges of the High Court as a hurdle in the speedy dispensation of justice, Ejaz Ahmed said. A district and sessions judge and senior civil judge will be included in the panel of the Evidence Recording Commission on contract basis to facilitate the litigants, he said.
