This is an alternative design school, one of whose founders is Stanley Tigerman Stanley Tigerman (born 20th September, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American architect, theorist and designer He studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Chicago Institute of Design, and Yale University. . The school is directly concerned to express social concerns through design and does a lot of community workshop projects. Around a third of students are architects, a third designers and the rest artists, teachers, the odd lawyer and so on. 'Our aim', says Tigerman in a promotion movie on the site, 'is to be out of the box. This is more important than any single building I have ever done'.
