Commerzbank Securities Appoints Edward Cartwright as Chairman of Commerz Futures LLC.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 2002

Commerzbank Securities has appointed Edward Cartwright as chairman of Commerz Futures LLC, the wholly-owned Chicago based futures commission merchant Futures commission merchant (FCM)

A firm or person engaged in soliciting or accepting and handling orders for the purchase or sale of futures contracts, subject to the rules of a futures exchange and, who, in connection with such solicitation or acceptance of orders, accepts any

Formerly Global Head of Research for Commerzbank Securities, Cartwright is charged with developing the natural synergies between Commerz Futures and Commerzbank Securities, particularly the expanding derivatives business.

Prior to joining Commerzbank Securities in September 2000, Cartwright was head of the Japanese department at Jefferies & Co, responsible for establishing its institutional equity-linked and structured product business. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at HSBC HSBC Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation

HSBC Humane Society of Bay County (Bay County, Michigan) 
 James Capel in London and New York focusing on Japanese institutional sales.
