. This new range, called the Model 17 Commercial-Duty Motor Line, is targeted at applications such as fans, blowers, agitators, conveyors, compressors and pumps.

The Model 17 range extends from 120 to 750W, through standard 48 to 56 frame sizes, with two, four or six pole, and single or three-phase AC voltage versions. The construction options available to optimise performance are open-drip proof, totally enclosed air-over, totally enclosed non-ventilated, depending on the target operating environments In computing, an operating environment is the environment in which users run programs, whether in a command line interface, such as in MS-DOS or the Unix shell, or in a graphical user interface, such as in the Macintosh operating system. .
