Commercial radio unites for Brits Week

More than 170 commercial radio stations will take part in the first Brits Radio Week in the runup to this year's music awards on February 20.

The initiative, in which stations will share playlists and syndicated programming, is the result of a collaboration between commercial radio and the awards' organisers, the BPI.

Stations will share awards-orientated playlists, interviews with Brit nominees and an extended edition of Sunday afternoon chart show, Hit40UK, presented by Capital 95.8 DJ Lucio.

The week will culminate in a three-hour show broadcast live from the Brits on stations including Capital, BRMB BRMB Big Red Marching Band (Cornell University)
BRMB Birmingham Broadcasting, Ltd. (UK radio station)
 and Radio City.
