Gerard Schumm of Trizec Properties received top honors and was presented The Commercial Management Leadership Award for his long-term leadership and significant contributions to the industry.

Other award winners were Nancy Troy of Vornado Office Management who received the On-Site Manager of the Year Award In Major League Baseball, the Manager of the Year Award is an honor given annually since 1983 to the best managers in the American and National Leagues.

The award is voted on by 28 members of the Baseball Writers Association of America.

 Williams was presented the John M. Griffin Community Service Award for his outstanding community and civic activities.

 Chairman and President of H.J. Kalikow & Co. Matthew Duthie of Reckson Associates and chairman of the commercial division's planning committee served as emcee.

Jerry Schumm, who has been involved in the industry for more than 30 years, is senior vice president of Trizec Properties, and also serves as a member of Trizec's National Operating Board and as chairman of Trizec's National Energy Program. He has been chairman of REBNY's Management Board of Directors for several years. Schumm's civic contributions include co-founding the Fountain Gallery charity, as well as efforts with Diabetes Research and the Mercy Home, which honored Jerry and his wife this year at the charity's annual luncheon. Nancy Troy, winner of the on-site manager award, has been involved in real estate since 1979. She has been instrumental in the management of 640 Fifth Avenue particularly in the last three years when the building was going through both interior and exterior demolition, eliminating 85,000 gross square feet and adding 35,000s/f.

Throughout the building's reconstruction, Troy worked closely with the Vornado Development Team while keeping the in-house tenants functioning with the least amount of interruption. In addition, throughout her time as building manager, Troy has developed a staff training program and built a highly effective management team.

Bob Frankel, who is senior managing director for asset management services at GVA Williams, received the community service award for his significant civic activities. Frankel is chairman of the Board of the 23rd Street Association, a not for profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all resident tenants, office employees, retailers and building owners from 18th Street to 28th Street. He has served as the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the creation of the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership and initiated annual blood drives for the Red Cross.

In addition, he is a chairperson of the Fountain Gallery's Celebration of Life Benefit and Vice Chairman of "The Road Home Gala" for Housing and Services, Inc.

Jim Halpin, winner of the corporate management executive award, has been with Silverstein Properties since 1979.
