The launch reportedly follows the successful implementation earlier in 2007 of a WiMAX network in the Ulm region of Germany by Motorola.

According to Motorola, its WiMAX solution has enabled NeckarCom to integrate all of its current standard voice services across the WiMAX network and offer a new combined voice and data solution.

The integrated voice and data service from NeckarCom is the first 802.16e WiMAX-based offering in Germany and is based on Motorola's WiMAX technology.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
