Long-term disability Motorola Inc (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange : MOT) has announced that NeckarCom Telekommunikation GmbH, a telecomms provider based in Germany, has launched its commercial Voice over Internet Protocol See Internet and TCP/IP. (networking) Internet Protocol - (IP) The network layer for the TCP/IP protocol suite widely used on Ethernet networks, defined in STD 5, RFC 791. IP is a connectionless, best-effort packet switching protocol. (VoIP) service. The launch reportedly follows the successful implementation earlier in 2007 of a WiMAX network in the Ulm region of Germany by Motorola. According to Motorola, its WiMAX solution has enabled NeckarCom to integrate all of its current standard voice services across the WiMAX network and offer a new combined voice and data solution. The integrated voice and data service from NeckarCom is the first 802.16e WiMAX-based offering in Germany and is based on Motorola's WiMAX technology.
