) has purchased 350,000 shares of its common stock at $24.00 per share for a total of $8.4 million in a negotiated private transaction.

The sellers were the estate and a trust for the benefit of one of the former owners of Owen Steel Company, Inc. The stock was acquired by the selling stockholders as a result of the acquisition of Owen Steel Company, Inc. by Commercial Metals Company Commercial Metals Company NYSE: CMC is an United States based steel and metal manufacturer founded in 1915. It owns four steel minimills in Texas, Alabama, South Carolina and Arkansas, one copper minimill (Howell Metal Company) in Virginia, fabricators, and recyclers in the  in November, 1994. The 350,000 shares represent approximately 36% of the total shares issued by Commercial Metals Company in connection with the acquisition.
