Commercial Bank of San Francisco and Lippo Bank Terminate Merger Agreement.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 1999--Commercial Bank of San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  and Lippo Bank jointly announced the termination of the merger agreement they had signed on Nov. 6, 1998.

Because the transaction was not completed within the time specified in the agreement, Lippo Bank exercised its right to terminate Terminate (terminat.exe) was a shareware modem terminal and host program for MS-DOS and compatible operating systems developed from the early to the late 1990s by the Dane Bo Bendtsen. Commercial Bank will continue to operate from its one office in San Francisco. At Dec. 31, 1998, it had assets of $183 million and deposits of $166 million. Net income for 1998 was $1,689,000.

. At Dec. 31, 1998, it had assets of $92 million and deposits of $79 million. Net income for 1998 was $777,000.
