Commerce One, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMRC), the e-marketplace company, has selected Intel Online Services, Inc. as a leading provider of global managed hosting services for its new Managed Application Services(1).

Commerce One Managed Application Services combines Commerce One e-marketplace solutions, which enable online business-to-business commerce, with Intel Online Services networking, hardware and operating system support. Commerce One plans to capitalize on the flexibility provided by Intel Online Services' AppChoice(SM) Managed Hosting Service to customize hosting services for Commerce One customers.

Commerce One Managed Application Services is specifically designed for enterprises and industry consortia that want to deploy simple or complex e-marketplaces. Managed Applications Services is designed to reduce the time it takes to implement an e-marketplace, improve time-to-market, and reduce the burden of additional IT expenditures.

The agreement between Commerce One and Intel Online Services represents an expansion of Intel Corporation's relationship with the e-marketplace company.
