Commerce One Managed Application Services is specifically designed for enterprises and industry consortia that want to deploy simple or complex e-marketplaces. Managed Applications Services is designed to reduce the time it takes to implement an e-marketplace, improve time-to-market, and reduce the burden of additional IT expenditures.

The agreement between Commerce One and Intel Online Services represents an expansion of Intel Corporation's relationship with the e-marketplace company. Intel and Commerce One announced a broad alliance in October 2000 that included collaboration on business planning, solution development and engineering, customer support systems, sales and channel development, and marketing.
